Ontario uses a graduated licensing system to help new riders gain experience in safer, controlled stages. The process begins with the M1 licence, which requires passing a written test. After meeting certain requirements and waiting periods, riders progress to the M2 level, where they must pass a road test. The final stage is the full M licence, granted after passing another road test and meeting all conditions. Practice tests help applicants understand each stage, boosting confidence and knowledge throughout the process.
