Avoid getting distracted– The number one cause of human error related road accidents in the United States is distracted driving. Considering the modern-technology distractions available today, it is not surprising texting and holding a smartphone while driving makes the top of the list for diverting attention off the road. Even the infotainment system has advanced tempting drivers to fiddle through while driving. Keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road at all cost and if it is very necessary you send a message, at least opt for a voice command system. For instance, Apple CarPlay, Siri or Android Auto make it safe to drive while operating your device without getting your eyes off the road or hands on the steering wheel.
